The review --> One Word: Boring.

We have a cover!
My dumb ass always imagined it to be total black with white school logo at the middle so I'm confused now, but I'll get used to it lol.

DNF the last bit and looked up the ending. I’m usually good with YA reads but this was a little slow for me. Predictable. Not many likable characters. Maybe because I’ve read so many similar it just felt overdone for me.

3.5! i have a LOT to say about this book. first off, i loved the concept and literally how unintentionally funny this book was. i also loved the twist on the mean girl role with avery. BUT there were so many plot holes. i did not understand why olivia thought so low of herself when she literally had the fifth highest gpa IN HER ENTIRE CLASS, was on the varsity rowing team, and was co-editor of the school newspaper. i feel like she just completely overlooked her worth b/c she was poor. i also don't understand why the ivies excluded her so often. they said it was "to protect her," but what did she need protecting from? given all the things she helped them do, she's definitely not a saint and does not need protecting from whatever stuff they were saying behind people's backs. the ending also disappointed me. tyler's motive to kill emma was literally the stupidest thing ever. and it wasn't even close to 100% guaranteed that if he killed her, his plan would work. another thing is that margot's role in the plot was completely pointless. i was hoping for her acting skills to come in at some point, or that she would be the murderer so she would be of some use to the story, but nothing like that ever happened. her character was just unnecessary. overall though, i was hooked and finished it really fast! i would recommend this book.

I really wanted to dnf this book in the first 20%… Nothing had happened yet, we were only getting background information, but no plot. The writing wasn’t my favorite either, so it didn’t help convince me to keep reading.

I did « force » myself to keep reading until I got to the death, not a spoiler as its in the blurb, to see if the plot finally hit. It did. But it wasn’t great either.

This is a very average murder mystery set in a high school with a bunch of rich kid drama.

I guessed part of the reveal really early on. And the second part just didn’t make sense? Quite disappointing really. As for the final chapters, some of the characters’ choices and personalities were also nonsensical given who they were throughout the book.

I may give this author another shot, but this was a very average book, not horrific but not great.

This entire book for me:

But I did really enjoy it.

Warning: not for people that want their protagonist (or really any character in this novel) to be likable. They are all cutthroat bitches. All of them.

This was a fun murderous gossip girl like book. Lived up to the hype.

asides from the premise of this book being a tad bit unnecessary (the murder motive was stupid), and the title (purposely I think) resembling aggtm, and a flimsy dash of tsh, it was fun to read for sure. I honestly love that just because the main character isn't tremendously wealthy, she gets a pass on the horrible things she did. Nor does she find romance after all, which is hilarious and refreshing. Conc: I'm not a big fan of university obsession but this was an exception. This over Bunny anyday

I would be lying if I didn't say I was a little disappointed with this book. I was expecting something crazier, meaner, and feel like I got a watered down version of what this book could've been. I did like the camp, though, and overall it was pretty enjoyable even if a little of a letdown in certain aspects.
