pretty good book loved the pace and plot but felt it was like good girls guide to murder like it was inspired but it and since i have already that book it felt a little repetitive from a good girls guide but other then that found it was very interesting and was definitely suspenseful and kept me guessing who the killer was

I feel like this angle has been over-played: the poor girl on a scholarship to the elite boarding school where only the most rich and connected send their progeny so they can ultimately attend an Ivy League school continuing the family legacy, admissions scandals galore, and so on, and oh my god I've gone cross-eyed. Funny thing... I couldn't put it down and read well past my bedtime to finish it in one sitting. Yes the story has been told before, yes it was predictable in some areas, but these characters were so hate-able I read to ensure their demise you know. Didn't even like our lead scholarship Olivia girl that much as her redeeming qualities were nearly non-existent.

Standard plot, tangled mystery, who-did-it back and forth, side investigation because smart kids are too smart to have anybody else solve a murder, and we're done.

I really liked this thriller! I do wish there was a bit more evidence to implicate the guilty party sooner, but I do appreciate the way things went down.

Beware of cast iron skillets.

4.5 stars for me!

The Ivies was a smooth read with lots of twists and turns to get me going. I feel the climax scene with the MC confronting the killer is a bit "casual" and the tension there didn't resonate with me.

Nonetheless, this is still a great book. Kudos to Alexa Donne for this awesome read.

It's an enjoyable read but found myself thinking "oh come on" or "ridiculous" on several occasions. A page-turner of curiosity, regardless.

4 stars-

Honestly, this book was just so FUN. It 100% delivers on its premise, and I just so thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I loved the ending, I loved the mystery, and I just thought that it was such a brilliant idea.

I don’t think that it will particularly stay with me as a favorite- hence 4 stars instead of 5- as there weren’t any characters that really stood out, but perhaps it’s all the better since someday I may get to experience it like it’s new again!

I really enjoy Alexa Donne’s writing and can’t wait to read future novels by her.
