This book was well written, the characters were interesting for the most part. I felt that the ending and finding out what happened and who did it a little meh…. I don’t feel like someone would actually kill over that but maybe.
Also for a YA book, it had SO much language. To much language makes a book less appealing and it could even make it to the point of unreadable.

medium-paced
This wasn’t bad, but it also wasn’t as fast paced or mind-blowing as I wanted it to be. A couple twists I guessed correctly in advance, so I didn’t feel like they were that shocking.
3.5 rating I think. Fun book. I enjoyed it but the story felt a little all over the place at times. I figured things out pretty quickly but it might just be because of all the Christie I read...

Good seasonal YA murder mystery for October. Similar mood as we were liars, One of Us is Lying, and Good Girl's Guide to Murder. Nice little twist at the end. Entertaining but forgettable.
I saw the ending coming, but the reason felt stupid. All this for a college essay? I was suspecting Tyler, but it would’ve been cooler if Olivia did it and it was an unreliable narrator type of thing.
This is somewhere between a 2.5 and a 3 for me, so I'm rounding up to 3.
This book is okay. It's a decent way to spend time (though it's a bit too long) and while some of the plot points are predictable and the main character makes questionable choices, I think if you're in a Mean Girls, boarding school type of mood––you might enjoy this.
I will say: the motive for the killing, as others have said, is...questionable. It's like...sort of realistic, but also just...so over the top in not a great way? Je ne sais pas.
I'm also disappointed that the narrator of the audiobook is white, when the main character is Black. There are so many wonderful Black narrators! Why?

This was a very entertaining read. It was probably one of the better ya thrillers that i’ve read. There were a lot of twists and turns that I wasn't expecting. It kept me guessing.
