I was very excited for this release.
Mystery has been my fav genre recently, especially boarding schools.
I think this was done really well, and i enjoyed the mystery aspect a lot! I went back and forth on who I thought it was multiple times, and I was very shocked at the ending.
It really made me sit back and think about how stressful academics can be to someone.
I recommend!

lol i feel like the author Really tried to portray the mc as soo progressive because she was poor and cultured i guess ( don't know why everyone thinks being poor makes you cultured but moving on ) but she still came off as painfully white .

i enjoyed the thriller part of the book it had some really good tension to back it up but the romance fell flat and i didnt really feel the betrayal of the friends as much as i would've wanted to .

i also feel like everyone else got much better closure than she did but that was the point of the book i think , the fact that she was poor disadvantaged her , right ?

How can people who are supposed to be ivy league bound be so stupid. Also, these characters are horrible people. Which is fine, except the author doesn't seem to realize they're horrible people. Like...she genuinely writes them in a way where we're supposed to be okay with all the tremendously shitty things they're doing

Honestly, this book was so engaging which is why I managed to read it in a day but also, it gave me PLL (pretty little liar vibes) and yeah. I personally wasn't quite pleased with the way it ends, meaning I think it could've been better than how straightforward it currently was, yk? Especially bc there was so much of build up and investigation that could've possibly played a part, but otherwise was quite engaging and kept me hooked which was great!
