Had me hooked from the very beginning! Can’t wait to read more of her books!
I didnt necessarily dislike this book as the story line was intriguing and held my interest... But I just felt like it left a lot to be desired. First of all, all of the female characters were not likable and annoying and I found their personalities to be far fetched and stereotypical. Kayla had no other interests besides being a wife and mother, Val was a bitchy lawyer, etc. The way their friendship was presented was strange. Sometimes I had the impression that the Night Swimmers were close and spent a lot of time together/had deep friendships, but at other points in the story it was presented as though Night Swimmers was the only time they were close and shared anything about their lives.
Although I appreciated the short book, I felt like it left much to be desired. What happened to Theo? What happened with Kayla and Raoul's marriage?
I rate it 2.5 stars.

“HE’D ALWAYS BELIEVED THAT everything one needed to know in life could be learned by building a house. Start with the basics: sturdy foundation, solid walls, a sound roof. Move on to esthetics: light, air, creativity. And finally, make sure the details are done correctly.”
Whoa. This was not the Elin Hildebrand I'm used to. There were parts where I thought I should stand up, pump my fist, and chant, "Jerry!Jerry! Jerry!"
I can't say it didn't keep those pages flapping with wondering what was going to happen next, but dang.

Disagreed with pretty much every decision of every character. Nope, nope, nope.
