Poor character development and an unbelievable story but an easy read nonetheless.
emotional mysterious relaxing sad fast-paced

I could not put this book down once I started it. I read non stop on my flight from CT to FL which made the trip go by so quickly. The writing is lovely and the characters very rich.

I will read any book set in New England in the summer. I don't know why.

This book was SO good! Then the ending was so dissatisfying.

What the heck was that?

I needed a "beach" read to remind me this miserable winter would some day be over. This was a super depressing book, filled with horrible people. Sure, I read it, and enjoyed it, for the most part, but it would have been nice to like one of the characters.

Wow rereading this a huge Elin fan.. much more raw and honest than her more recent books. It's a hidden gem in her collection, maybe one of my favorites!
