loved the characters! But something felt off just like in the previous book. I found it really difficult to focus on the plot sometimes. I'm so used to reading Cara Dee's books, they're my favs, but these last two felt off for me. I wish I could articulate what I mean. Maybe the kink in this book wasn't for me too.

A cute story. I really liked the contrasting characters and how it all came together. I think it’s fun that Anthony was big fan but also totally clueless. I also really enjoyed that August and Cam had wisdom regarding different aspects of their relationship.

3.5 stars. I wasn’t going to read this at all actually, but after reading We Have Till Dawn for the third time and loving the hell out of it, I figured I would give this a go just in case. This even though I hate MMM with a fiery passion and had never read a DD/lb book before. But it’s Cara Dee, so I put my faith in that.

I have no regrets. It was all very well-written and handled in a good way. I read it all and liked it. In fact, I really loved Anthony and August together, they gave me fluttery feels. Camden was cute, and it helped that he was the way he was, because it allowed me to like their dynamics (all three together) without being anti the way I usually get at the idea of more than two people in a romantic relationship. Most of this was all new to me, so I feel like I also learned a lot. I guess you could say it broadened my views, which I like.

So yeah, I did end up enjoying it a whole lot. Am I now sold on the kinks covered in this? No. Was I converted into a MMM fan? Definitely not. Would I have rather had Anthony and August as a couple while Camden was August’s actual son, no sex or kink involved? For sure. But was I convinced by this triad? Yup, I was.

Like all Cara Dee books, I’m surprised how much I enjoyed the focus on Daddy kink which I usually avoid. Interesting to find about the 4 levels of Daddy/little, caring from a constant lifestyle to a kink that comes & goes, as well as age & regression. Perhaps it was the triad part that overrode it. Anyway, August is a famous chef & “Daddy” to Camden, a game developer & graphic designer. Anthony (the brother of Nicky from “We Have Til Dawn”) is a musician who comes to their attention when he enters a competition for cooking lessons with August. They want someone to give August a partner when Cam regresses. As always, high heat & all the feels as love develops, with a background of music performing that ties through the story.
