"Being young, funnily enough, I was more worried about getting in trouble with my parents than with the law"

Berkesan, bikin tertawa dan tentunya menambah pengetahuan.
Bintang lima !

Simply put, I want everyone I know to read this book.
This book really illuminated the fact that I had an overly simplistic lack of understanding of apartheid and poverty in South Africa. I knew there were race issues, but failed to understand how complicated and non-binary they were. Trevor Noah shares stories of his growing-up years which are heartbreaking and wildly entertaining (especially the story about Hitler). I especially enjoyed learning about the role evangelical Christianity (specifically Pentecostalism) played in his early years, and about his relationship with his biological father.
This is a memoir I've recommended to many and plan to continue to recommend. I listened to it on audio, which I think made t even better.
A caution: I remember enough expletives to make it potentially NSFW.

Noah is a great writer and has an unbelievable story. His is a voice that needs to be heard and I hope he keeps writing so people can hear it and learn from him.
