There an equation that is said to be untrue, but the proof of that was lost except for a note in a margin by Fermat (also the writier of the equation) saying that he had proven it. This book was invigorating there's just so much history in our math and I love math but the history of it all has made me appreciate it even more. Wonderfully written and easy to read :') I think anyone with even a slight interest in math should read this. Getting to know that there were so many people who built on the proof and the ultimate proof is a result of all of their combined efforts was just beautiful. I was so excited and happy and I'll surely miss this book!
