This is definitely better than the second book, but still not my favourite teen series. I don’t like the romance between Wren and Lei as it feels forced, needy, and unhealthy. I do like some of the side characters. The action moved right along which was nice. The ending felt really drawn out and unnecessary. I was so happy when it finally ended. I’m glad to have completed this series.

Above average series, but not stellar. Lots of good points about this book - interesting world, interesting characters, but the writing left a bit to be desired, and the plot was a bit predictable.

This was an emotional ending to the trilogy. I really enjoyed it, Wren and Lei’s relationship continues to be the best and most real part of this series to me.

I think this is a good series but personally I found that many things in the 2nd book leading through the 3rd book kind of dragged which made it hard to get into. I think the happy ending is necessary and it shows that there’s nothing black and white about revenge and justice. While I also believe the characters more, specifically wren and lei towards the end of this book, idk. It was odd to get this understanding that homosexuality was wrong and then suddenly towards the end everyone was out, queer, and proud. Don’t get me wrong, we love to see it! It just felt tacked on in an underdeveloped way when there’s so many things this series is trying to cover. I think that’s also my issue with the romance between Wren and Lei. It very much felt like the 2 lesbians in the room who are expected to date. Nonetheless I think there are many other people who will love to dive into this series and I highly recommend it to anyone who’s interested, I just had my own personal opinions and gripes
