Funny, but I didn't like this as much as the novels.

Not much of a muchness -- but still just right. A series of short stories, only one at Christmas, but still with a nice warm feeling. The stories give a feel of upper middle class life between the wars. The book ends with a story from 1942, which gives a good picture of life for the same class under rationing and war. Light, cozy, yet interesting.

Funny, well written stories, though mostly nothing to do with Christmas!

Couple stories I really liked but overall not a strong collection. Also only a few related to Christmas!

Not a huge fan. Loved some of the humor, but some stories ended abruptly & some were just not interesting to me.

A small collection of short stories that Thirkell wrote for various publications during her career.
