i'm not going to lie i love cheesy gay romances i'm simple and i'm proud
and yes was the timeline of this entire novel before the epilogue a SINGLE week? yes. was there a declaration of love in that timeframe? yes. we're gay babes.
i really appreciated the main character's growth arc throughout the novel although yes, the timeframe of the entire plot made it feel a little strange to me, but that didn't detract from the core of the story for me!

It started off very promising, even if it did feel rushed - but, the set-up for an interesting story was there. The FMC is about to begin her honeymoon when she has a run-in with a handsome stranger. Then, flash forward and she is divorced from her husband and has always wondered if that man she met was her soulmate.
The story takes place at an adult summer camp where she runs into the same handsome stranger and is convinced that it must mean he is The One.
So yeah, it was easy to get hooked. But then, it fell so flat and became predictable and not interesting at all and it was such a letdown. All of the other reviews are very accurate. It is way too insta-love and there's this whole bit about heart promise bracelets between sisters and it was a little too cringe.
She has trauma from her childhood and her recently ended marriage and this all gets resolved by a few days and activities at a Summer camp? I think not.

I went into this story truly thinking it was going to be one of those low quality queer books that you clearly could tell it once was a fanfiction on Wattpad. BUT the amount of times I had to put this book down and just gush over the writing was enough to push me to rate this a 5 star read!
I absolutely loved the flow of their story as well as all the characters included. My one bone to pick is that I feel the ending was a bit rushed, but other then that I feel it had everything needed to give it that feeling of completion at the end!
Definitely will be purchasing so I can have it on my book shelf! Wonderful wonderful book!

I tried SO hard because the concept is adorable and as a former camper I love a camp romance. HOWEVER it took so long to finally get the main characters together that I completely lost interest.
