Compared to the rest of the series, this one was just okay. Definitely reads fast

This was part story, part anthology. The short stories were fine, but I signed up for some Sweet and I didn’t get much in this one. Or even Pearl. This is like the Christmas episode of a show. It doesn’t have anything to do with the main story.

I still love these stories, but I'm not in love with the choppy anthology formatting of this trade.

I thought the book was ok but I gave it 3 stars because I love the series. I wasn't too thrilled that this volume was part anthology though. I loved that the first story started off in the 50's. I really wanted to find out about what happened to the other charachters from the previos volumes. I was slightly disappointed by that.

Not essential reading for the series as this a series of stories set in the American Vampire world.

American vampire does not disappoint. I like the stories that flesh out the universe a bit more. I wish there was more info on different vamp species but still very enjoyable.

The anthology bit from other authors wasn't bad, there was no bad artwork or story lines. The regular short story arc could be read as a standalone work.
