The second half of this book was sooo good and the ending was amazing, but the first half was dare i say… a tad boring. I think this book will be a good set up for the rest of the series! 

KINDA SPOILERS‼️‼️

Im still sad about Dorian😔 i really loved him.
and every time she said in her head “I will not be afraid” my heart cracked like i’m not ok I miss Sam:(
For some reason I felt suspicious about Chaol throughout this book like he has done nothing wrong like he literally saved her but like idk…
And the king can shove a stick up his rump

I'm absolutely not a fan of fantasy, but this book was amazing. It captivated me from the first page to the last and I can't wait to read the next one. All the characters were interesting and I loved the writing style of Sarah J. Maas.

This started off really slow for me, but it picked up in the middle! I’m interested to see how these characters grow and change and the relationships they make or leave behind!
