This is book three in the series. I am still loving the journey!

We get a lot more background on the enemy and our beloved characters. I felt there was more dragon interaction and character development which I loved. There wasn’t as much continuity with the layers in this book and some of the details were inconsistent. I did appreciate the growth Violet and Xaden have experienced in their current relationship struggle.

The ending is anticlimactic for me and leaves me with more questions than answers.

This book was simply…. meh. I really enjoyed the adventuring and then teamwork when they were flying around BUT it felt super rushed. The best part was the cliff hanger at the end and the fact that I finished the book and can move right onto the next one!
