Erg gedetailleerd over dingen die niet van belang waren. Heel veel gevechten, nieuwe (draken)namen, voor- en achternamen die door elkaar heen werden gebruiken, details over steden en plekken die vervolgens nooit meer aan het bod kwamen. 

Stuk over de eilanden en de Irissen vond ik het leukst.

This series is just terrible. I can't read any more of it, not even for my good friend who loves it. In a cabin with nothing else left to read, I chose nothing.

It was a little hard for me to get back into this book after waiting for it 😬 the main thing I remembered was the cliffhanger with Xaden, so it took a bit for me to get on the same page. The story felt a little slow at first with all of their traveling and breaking rules, but I finally got hooked when she started learning more about her father's past. It felt like the story began to pick up the pace a bit. Not sure why that was--but I was obsessed once she started to make connections to her past. Can't wait for the next book! Ach, the cliffhangers are so good and painful! It felt like we just got introduced to some big mysteries right before it ended so that's kept me up at night lol.
