Really enjoying this series of police procedurals. Nice to be set in the fens rather than somewhere more mainstream. Recurring characters are developing nicely and the plots are sufficiently intriguing. I particularly enjoyed the emotional journeys in this one, dealing with friendship and loss

This was another solid entry in the Jackman & Evans series.

Joy Ellis knows how to spin a mystery, and this one is no exception. While this series doesn't break any new ground in the crime/thriller genre, they are enjoyable reads that deliver on expectations.

If you like crime/mystery books/shows then you will most likely enjoy this series.

Listening to an audiobook narrated by Richard Armitage is always a pleasure and this one was just that too.
Joy has such a way of creating a mystery that makes me keep thinking about it. The details and the emotion are stunning. Of course, Richard’s narration always makes the experience better

Really enjoyed the audible version of this with Armitage reading. The plot line was twisty with unexpected turns and definitely sad in places but would recommend.

I really can't get enough of these books. This one made me think, do we see our friends and family what they need, or do we convince ourselves they are doing fine, so we can feel better about not seeing what is really going on?
