I couldn't put it down for the last 75 pages. Kelly has a talent for twists and turns.

Definitely *not* a thriller. Kind of overwritten, though I'd probably give it a 3.5. Didn't love the ending, and it was so abrupt. Basically: Meh.

Also, were there people comparing it to "The Secret History"? I mean, the comparison is that it involves murder and somebody who wants to belong too much. Other than that...

Finished it, but felt distinctly that the impetus towards finishing was more mechanical than pleasurable.

I enjoyed this book very much. I love the way [a:Erin Kelly|1308914|Erin Kelly|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1307333214p2/1308914.jpg] unfolds this story. Fabulous characters.

The carefree atmosphere of relaxation in a large house during a long, hot summer with no rules or purpose, leading up to a catastrophic event reminds me of another book I’ve read recently – A Fatal Inversion by Ruth Rendell writing under the pseudonym of Barbara Vine. So if you give this book a go, and enjoy it, I’d recommend that one too.

Good, not great

I would consider this a good book but not a great one. There was a lot of back story and built up before I was able to get into the story. Toward the end though it was a real page-turner.
