I read this book because of a BookToker I follow and they have similar reading tastes. While this book delivered on the spice like she said and it had a decent story line, it was unnecessarily long and dragged on. There were several places where I thought , it's still going? What else could happen ? Apparently A LOT. At 109 chapters this could have easily been two books. It's called Demon's Dream but it's also 50% Smoke and Dayana's story.
Some of the storyline also just wasn't for me, I had a serious issue with how often the n-word was used multiple times on one page, that and the use of bitch constantly.
Damien saying "my seed" vs "my baby" was just so odd to me and it never made sense to me because one sentence he said "my seed" then the next he said "my baby". I also disliked Dayana a lot in the moments with Dream at the Doctor's office pushing her own agenda with the baby onto Dream. I can understand not wanting your sister to make rushed decisions but to deceive her and call Damien to the doctor's office rather than have him come to Dreams house or wherever she was living, really frustrated me. Damien is a controlling character, I get that but that whole part really made me dislike him. Dream needed to come to her decision on her own not have her hand forced the way he pushed her. I'm so glad she had her grandfather in that moment and she got a BREAK from Damien for a little while.
The length of this book, the excessive use of the n-word multiple times on one page, and the scenes with Dream at the Doctor's office made this a 3 ⭐ for me. I might try another book by this author but I'll need to brace myself for an intriguing and very long read first.

I only read this because it popped up on Booktok, and I only stopped myself from DNFing it because of my reading goal for the year. It's way too long, I didn't care for the multiple POVs, and the writing left much to be desired. There were some moments I liked midway through, but the ending was redundant and predictable.
