I was enjoying it quite a bit but unfortunately a scene at about 60% (at the restaurant) was triggering for some reason. Maybe I just can't deal with overprotective men right now 🥲

This is for sure a 5 star read for me! I love a good hood jam and this measures up.

Dream and Demon’s love story is so beautiful, it had me unable to put this book down. I read it morning noon and night. Demon continuously showed up for Dream, trauma on full display, while she did the same. Dayana’s love story was just as captivating. Facing the obstacles that many women of today face, not having anything to fall on, she turned out lucky bc her love interest was everything he needed to be. I would recommend this book 100times over. Oh, and how could I not mention how erotic and sexy this book is?? I was wishing I was Dream every night I read this book LOL! This will not be my last Elle Kayson book.

I didn’t even care that this book was 700+ pages. I was laughing, giggling, kicking my feet, crying, angry, all of the emotions. I loved it.. I was locked in from start to finish. My favorite character has to be Grandpa. I loved that old man’s energy and how he was coming behind his grands. The Dark Romance to top them all. Some parts were very hard to get through because I felt so hurt for Damien as a child and even as an adult.
