Felt more like being immersed in a feeling than reading a real story with a beginning, middle, and end. Reid’s stories are always a bit inscrutable, but have more of a kick at the end than this one. Just kind of unsatisfying.

When I first started this read, I was honestly thinking I wouldn't finish. I didn't click with it right away. I went ahead and continued, because it's so short and I've heard great things. I'm so glad I did! This book just plays on people's fear of aging. I loved reading from Penny's point of view and to truly see things through her perspective. Not my typical horror read, but I am so glad that I read it.

Que sorte a minha ter lido em LC com uma galera da boa... foi uma experiencia incrível, a narrativa propõe que se crie muitas teorias e em todas elas muitas reflexões são colocadas em jogo. O centro da narrativa para mim é o medo de envelhecer, medo do fim da vida. E essa discussão já começou antes mesmo de lermos a primeira meta... o final é assim igual ao inicio, não sabemos de nada, só sabemos que temos medo.
