It was cute but I was mildly underwhelmed. I love an adult sapphic romance, but I also am not compelled when it feels like ‘smut’ (using this term mildly) is what is guiding the dynamic. I wish there were more tension between the characters but I guess Claire being able to see and understand Delilah is the point. I do wish we got more of Delilah and Astrid’s dynamic as well and got to see how both women longed for a connection they did not have but we just got a snippet of that at the end.

A hilarious, fun, steamy, and relatable queer love story that had me laughing and crying happy tears the whole time! Kinda reminds me of the classic Cinderella story, but modern and very gay.

Ok this surprised me with how much I liked it, since I usually don’t like contemporaries much (even gay ones). There’s a certain bite to it though that I appreciate and the sex was more explicit than I was expecting from vector-illustration book cover, which is only for the good

Ashley Herring Blake is my favorite so I am Hella biased but I really enjoyed this book.

A cute little read. I spent the majority of the time rooting for almost every character in this book. Delilah reminded me a lot of myself, so of course I wanted to see her happy and work through her childhood trauma.
Claire seemed like the sweetest soul and best mom. She was someone I would want to have in my life and reminded me of some of the sweet and wholesome friends I have in my life.
Astrid was sometimes frustrating, but there was nothing I wanted more than to see her and Delilah just TALK and work through their mess. I wanted them to realize what the other had been through and how it affected each other. And I wanted them to just have a sister they could rely on.
I expected this to just be a cute little sapphic romance, and it was, but it was also so much more. It was about love and friendships and working through trauma, and I loved every minute of reading it.

Ashley Herring Blake is an auto-buy. I don't think there's anything she can't write. This book is perfection.

This was such a fun summer read! I really enjoyed the dynamic of the 4 FMCs and how their relationships developed throughout the book! I also really enjoyed how we got just enough information about the past of each of them so that their actions make sense throughout the book!
There was a great amount of spice that made sense for the book and didn’t feel overbearing or unnecessary. And I loved the banter and ease between Claire and Delilah, it definitely made their love more believable!
Overall a great read! *4.5 stars*
