CW/TW: Past death of a parent
Age Rating: 10+
- I love the characters. Violet is a good main character. I liked that she still acted like a child, even though she had so much happen to her. She didn't do really silly things. Boy was cool. I liked him. I also liked Tom. He was an interesting character. Anna was cute too.
- I liked that the adults weren't useless. William did so much, and so did Violet's parents and the other Committee members. It was a nice change.
- This is a middlegrade book, so the writing is pretty basic.
- I thought that the book wrapped up pretty well.
- I KNEW TOM WAS GOODDDDD
- When Tom drank the poison, I was legitimately upset. Thank goodness Teresa was a brilliant toxicologist.
