Purely enjoyable! Not my favorite hockey romance but so sweet! Evan is literally the cutest little boy with his stuffed octopus, Pickles
I really enjoyed this book. I felt like the storyline went too fast though. Like it was very insta love for him and I wish there was more buildup to his feelings
This was a super quick, fast-paced, low-angst fun read. I enjoyed the characters and even though there were some emotional elements, the overall tone was fun and light.

4.5 out of 5 stars: The best friend's brother trope wares on me as much as siblings best friend because the secrecy drive me crazy. That being said I loved how Reed stepped up for Evan and the rest of his loved one's didn't hold anything against this sweet little boy.
I adored Holland's love of books and her want to be a librarian. The way she is with Evan and gets down on his level and does everything to help them both. In return the way Reed steps up for Holland's dad.
I love Emory and Holland with the One Tree Hill references, and I love the kind of friends that you can have cozy moments with.
While I did love the HEA, the spice, and the proposal made me tear up secrecies in romance bothers be because if your adult enough to be physical with a partner you are adult enough to have conversations with them and your loved ones.

a bit too insta-love even for my tastes and had some other elements in the middle that I was iffy about BUT IT HAD SO MUCH POTENTIAL WITH THE KID PLOT but alas they still managed to mess it up
