This book has me all sorts of confused. I have seen so many things about this series on Bookstagram, so maybe I was going in with too high of expectations?? IDK, but I ended the book feeling disappointed. The story could have been so good, but the book was too short. The entire storyline felt rushed to me. There was no development to many parts of the storyline... they just happened and then the next thing happened and then the next thing. It was weird to me. On that note, I did like the storyline and I loved Reed and seeing him take custody of his nephew. And I loved Holland's character! But, it all just moved too quickly and didn't get developed enough. Reed and Holland's relationship had such potential to win me over... but it was just all too rushed.

The plot has so many holes. It jumped so quickly it felt like the outline of a book that needed to have all the extra details filled in the story was there and I enjoyed that Britt just sent it feel complete.
