tell me why this was like junk food, a comfort read. The skut got cringey but I really enjoyed this story and devoured it.  It was so short and fast paced, I felt a genuine connection, and actually liked the tropes of bad boy, boy next door, single parent. I'm usually hesitant for the single parent thing but it was done pretty well. I also like that hockey wasn't a big focus and it was completely on his challenges with taking on a kid.Ofc nothing mind blowing or super memorable but that's not always why I read. I had fun and smiled through it all.

I did not enjoy this at all. The only reason I read the whole thing is pure stubbornness for not wanting to DNF another book this week. None of the characters felt like real people, Evan's whole existence just felt like a plot device instead of a child who needed a guardian, and I found a lot of it pretty unrealistic. I don't think I will be reading anything else by this author anytime soon.

I’m on a huge hockey romance marathon right now so I knew I needed to finally start this series! It’s been on my TBR for months now and I’m glad I started reading.

Picture Reed, a hot hockey player giving off major playboy vibes getting custody of his 3-year-old nephew whom he's never met and had no idea how to take care of. Enter Holland, Reed’s little sister’s best friend, who needs money to help care for her dad, and is pretty good with kids. She gets a nice paycheck for being a traveling nanny, he gets someone he trusts to help him with his nephew while he’s playing around the country, and if they happen to find each other for other needs, that’s just an added bonus 😉

If you love hockey, single dads, siblings best friend romance, and dual POV, go check out this book on kindle unlimited! This is the first book in a 6 book series called Totally Pucked but can also be read as a standalone.

LOVE this series! I can't wait for more!
