Best Friend Brother but with a big twist!!
Wow!! This had a much better paced than her other books. You get more moments of the couple and just them without the baby involved. I wish I was more attached to the characters than it would have been perfect for me. Nonetheless, it’s a great story and if you love hockey romances with babies, Maren Moore books are for you.
Reed can get it any day of the week… I mean cmon! I have been praying since The Newspaper Nanny that we would get to experience Reed’s happily ever after. Maren didn’t disappoint, I am officially obsessed with this man! The banter was hilarious, the secret pining was excruciating & the angst will just make your heart cry.
When something happens in Reed’s life that turns it upside down, there’s a lot of changes he has to make. He finds himself turning to the one person he really shouldn’t, his sisters best friend Holland. They’ve grown up next door to each other & never been more then friendly. Add some forced proximity, an unexpected guardianship/single parent situation & sexual tension… you get a heck of a story.
Reed really won my heart. There is so much of his past I didn’t expect but it just makes him such a well rounded character. Holland was your typical sisters best friend girl next door, she secretly crushed on Reed since they were kids but swore nothing would happen because of his sister. I loved her though because her heart is literally pure gold. She is struggling with caring for her father & figuring out her life but she’s still so bubbly. I swear she always put a smile on my face.
The steam with these two was AMAZING, Maren knows how to give us the smexy stuff. If you need a good lighter read, I highly recommend this one!!

Maren can write a swoon worthy DILF like no other! I absolutely love the chemistry, the tension, and the octopus. This is the first in the Totally Pucked series and I can't wait to see where the Avalanche goes from here...this book makes me love hockey and I hate sports ;)

Not reading this one for the plot or the side characters thats for fucking sure. Reed and Holland however, aha nice.
Maren knows how to write a single dad who is swoony!
I flew through it, and couldn't put it down! Reed & Holland had such a great relationship, and the banter was top notch! Reed was such a sweet guy, despite the playboy reputation, and the different ways he took care of Holland and her dad
