This book had great potential! I liked the concept and the main points of the story a lot, but the author needs to work on developing character relationships more. Using smaller moments between characters to help move the larger plot points forward would really make this book better.

Tropes;
Hockey Romance
Best Friends Brother
Single Dad
Friends with Benefits
Hockey romances, I’ve decided, are my comfort reads. It doesn’t matter if the plot is like every other typical hockey romance, they just always make a good and easy read for me. And this was that.
Reed is your typical man whore hockey player until he has to change his ways because he is now the guardian for his half-sisters 3 year old, Evan.
Reed struggles with his new single dad life and so asks his sister’s best friend, Holland, if she would help him look after Evan while he travels for work.
Holland and Reed start up a friends with benefits agreement with rules not to fall in love, which they both don’t stick to, obviously.
Like I said, a lot of hockey romance books have the same usual plots and tropes but it was still an enjoyable read and I loved everything about Holland and Reed.
