This book was so good. Reed and Holland are so cute together. Oh my gosh Reed with Evan just melted my heart. Little Evan is so stinkin' cute! Broke my heart for why he has come to live with Reed, but the bond he forms with Reed is beautiful. This book has so much heart and feels, but it also delivers on the heat and laughs. Be prepared to not want to put this one down when you start it. The characters are going to pull you right. Things are going to get real complicated for these two because feelings were supposed to be left out and Holland is best friends with Reed's sister. It's going to be a journey for these two, but the end destination is so worth it. The epilogue was the perfect touch and left me with a huge smile on my face.

I am a sucker for a single dad, hockey romance. I enjoyed this book overall, but there were some holes in the story. Reed suddenly gets custody of a little boy he's never met, and turns to his best friend's little sister to step in and help him with child care. Holland, the best friend, is also a caregiver to her father, who has Alzheimer's disease. I appreciated the way that part of the story was handled. There wasn't a lot as much attention paid to Reed's relationship to the boy, Evan, as I would have liked. I also liked Reed's sister and Holland's best friend Emery. Overall a good story, and I will read the next one for sure.

It was lowkey predictable. I do wish we would have had more scenes of Reed and Evan. You can definitely feel the tension -sexual and otherwise, between Reed and Holland.
