“Everyone’s got the potential to do the wrong thing — if we were measured that way, we’d all come up short.”

Really enjoyed this book. Sat and read it in one day (I love the summer holidays!). The second Beth O’Leary book I’ve read and it was just as enjoyable as the last. A lovely story, some subtle twists and turns just to keep it interesting. Not a “I can’t put it down” but almost like a bit of a hug in a book. I do love a romance (especially one with a happy ending!)
Addie is working as a caretaker in a villa in France. Dylan has shown up on a cancelled family vacation on his own. The rest is history. This book weaves through their complicated relationship; written from both Addie and Dylan’s perspective in both the present in the past; the reader slowly gains a deeper understanding of this complicated couples relationship and why it all ended. But will they have a happily ever after? Of course they will, it wouldn’t be a good rom-com without it!
