Lots of battles, the end of the battle that started in the first one and a new one when our MC finds two kids outside of a mansion.. filled with demons. It was an exciting volume with new things and the continuation of other things. I definitely couldn't stop reading when I started it. I hope we see the doctor woman again, for now she is helping from a distance. I loved how our MC went at it, despite being hurt or feeling afraid. He has a mission! Happy I had a moment for it! I am also happy that I can tell that I got the whole boxset (it was on sale) and will be reading the rest of the series over the coming time! Eep!

But good lord that new character (Zenitsu or something). What a horrible terrible character. Constantly whining, screaming at wrong times, being a coward. Of course, I feel for him, he was trained into demon slayer without consent, but still, come on dude. Also his interactions with women were disgusting. Someone helped him when he was seemingly in distress and he clung to her and wanted to marry her thinking she was helping him because she wanted to marry him. LORD ><. But in the last chapter, those last pages, he did show something else and I liked that. Plus, I am curious, if he sleeps he becomes strong? OK.

This volume introduced us to Zenitsu and a person wearing a boar's head on his head, both of whom are demon slayers like Tanjiro. Zenitsu is hilarious, and I love how he plays off of Tanjiro's strong determination and fighting spirit with his over-the-top cowardice. The fact that he can only fight in his sleep, but is unbelievably strong in this state is hilarious and awesome. I hope we get to see more of this character in later volumes, I'd love to get his backstory and see him in action more. The volume opens up with finishing the fight between the two demons from the last volume, and the fight was amazing. I loved seeing Nezuko take on Kemari-it was like an intense Feudal-era soccer match. Tanjiro went all-out in his fight and watching him analyze his opponent and formulate a plan was entertaining. The artwork is as strong as ever, with the demons (especially the one with the tsuzumi drums in him) are so detailed yet simple, they are equal parts awe-inspiring and terrifying. I absolutely adore this series and cannot wait to read volume four.

Side note-I read this in paperback, not kindle as the description says. I didn't realize this was for the kindle addition until after I finished typing, so there's that.
