Love Lucy Gray. Hate Snow. Very interesting to see him pre-president and it gave a much needed insight into his life
CHILLS - Suzanne Collins does it again folks. I was reluctant to read this at first assuming it wouldn’t be as riveting as the original series, but not only did it do the series justice, but it provided deep context to the complexity of the man that became President Snow.
I was so captured by how Collins slowly progressed in showing Coriolanus’ narcissistic tendencies. It wasn’t until after the Games ended that it became abundantly clear that he was already in deep water - each morally questionable decision led him to his end, where he jumped off the deep end willingly. Lucy Gray was a doll, heart wrenching to lose her to a raging narcissist. But the remnants of her became strong enough to bring it all down later so there’s some justice there.
