A very fun read, especially when read in one sitting! I enjoyed the take on Sam’s character especially and Bucky’s character development. In my opinion all of the art was fantastic (especially Alpine, so cute! Extra points just for the cat content). However I thought the bad guy’s costume was very inspired by Harley Quinn.

3.5 stars. I get why this is popular and has a decent rating, the themed and the character flaws are interesting... but I just can’t see past all the lame bits because they were so damn cringe. Bucky and Sam being best snarky bros is something I’m always up for though and is why it gets my rating. The Natural was creepy and reminded me of Syndrome from the Incredibles but significantly more unhinged.

(Definitely did not pick this up because The Falcon and the Winter Soldier just finished and I miss Sam & Bucky's dynamic, nope)
In all seriousness, this was my first comic in a while so this series was nice to get into! Also my first read on the Marvel Unlimited app which was great, and I can tell it's going to be a great thing for my reading habits this year :))

For a first issue it was alright. I really enjoyed the art and coloring and Sam & Buckys easy banter. Plus Bucky and his cat, Alpine. What's not to love?
Well...the really messy plot for starters? Look, we get it, Hydra is bad. But can we for once have new villains whose agendas are not "Hail, Hydra?"
