I haven't read a Johanna Lindsey book in a whileeeeee! I was so happy to jump into this one because I always said that I'd do just that only for something else to read and then Jeremy kept getting pushed back!
I loved Danny right off the bat and Jeremy was a charmer. I did not like how he kept trying to push Danny to sleep with him when she wanted to stay true to herself who just wanted to earn a living. I didn't appreciate that of Jeremy and his belittling of her and her dreams. And the drama was...well, just that, drama. I was curious about Danny's identity but I felt that it shrouded everything else.
I did love the writing because come on, Lindsey is so so so talented with her words.

I'm so glad that Jeremy got his own story. Danny is a fascinating heroine, and I can totally identify with her motivations, which is actually pretty new. A nice story.
I always enjoy reading this book. Danny living in the slums all those years gave her the training needed to be useful to Jeremy and then having the gumption to blackmail her way into a job is just wonderful. All the dots getting connected towards the end put a nice bow on the story.
A Loving Scoundrel is the seventh book in the Malory-Anderson Families series and we are back in this amazing world with it’s amazing characters. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to read this story. You just can’t help but fall in love with Jeremy and Danny. I just had so much fun reading this story. I can’t wait to read more wonderful stories from this author.
J.L. has become one of my comfort read go-tos. If I need to get out of a slump, or just need a break from a certain genre, I find myself coming back to the Malory-Anderson series. This one was just ok. I felt like it had a lot more potential. Jeremy has been around a long time, and I was interested to hear his story, but I didn't feel like I got many stories from Jeremy... or any real personality. I did like Danny, but something felt a little off with her back story too... a solid read, but nothing exciting.

My first Johanna Lindsey. I've been wanting to read her for a while and I'm glad to see it was worth the wait.
Jeremy and Danny make a balanced coupple and their romance makes me feel all warm and fuzzy, which is really why anyone reads these books, right?:)
I have to say I have an itch to read more about the Mallory family, they seem like a fun bunch. It's pity that these books are so poorly available around here.

My second Johanna Lindsey book. Saw the preview of this in my first book in 2020 and I finally read it.
It had a nice plot with past events leading to future ones. I don't know if someone can actually live with other people for 15+ years and not be discovered to be hiding an identity.
I loved reading Danny's English accent or maybe it's Glaswegian.
