Love! I was honestly dragging this one out because I didn't want their stories to end!

phenomenal. the only question I have is WHY DID FERICK DIE. he was my favorite. I honestly never saw it coming.

I want more of this world. this duology was truly the fantasy book that has everything you want. mermaids, pirates, curses, AND LEGENDS THAT TURN OUT TO BE ACTUAL REAL THINGS THAT AMORA FIGHTS!!! and in this book, we were introduced to god made creatures who were created to protect some aspect of the earth (the heavens, sea, etc.) and they’re creatures who have watched over mankind. I LOVE when there’s some sort of higher intelligence involved. I also loved watching Amora accept that her father is gone and that the past is the past. what I’ve taken away from this series is how important friendship can be (Ferrick. I love him so much.) and how the only way to grow is to move forward. anyway, I loved this duology and I will now be reading ANYTHING that adalyn grace writes.

Spent a good portion of this book yelling at Amora, and the last part bawling my eyes out! :D

But seriously, the fact that she spent so much time even considering using that scale to bring back her father instead of breaking the curse was frustrating me so much. I get that it was about her grief but come ON. Also, no one remembering Ferrick after he sacrificed himself hurt me, like, physically.

I loved the idea of a god who wants to help humanity but it’s too hard and they give up. That being said, Blarthe is the worst villain name of all time. I couldn’t help laughing through the entirety of chapter 34 when the narrator would just say Blarth over and over again.
