seems like it started out as firefly fanfic, but then picked up and invented an interesting scifi universe. fun and lighthearted space cowboy adventures.
I mainly started this because I was looking for the best value audiobook and this was suggested. After spending over 85 hours with these characters I really missed them in the end. The plot was interesting, the character development was great and the narration was pretty amazing too.
It reminded me a lot of the TV show Firefly and I wouldn't be surprised to know the author was a fan.

The series bills itself as a bit of a Firefly adventure and I can see that, but by the time this first series of missions ends it's significantly more developed than that show (and movie) ever were. The world building is rich and varied. The characters are all breathing and vibrant. It's a joy to spend time here.
