Oh, my, my, my........Lucian Morelli what have you done to me!!!!
This man's dark, twisted, deviant ways have captivated me page after page of his spellbinding mindfuckery! Elaine's pain runs deep and through her words you feel her tortured soul and understand her need to end it all. What a pair these two make with the unraveling of their story and the seduction that builds the longer these two are stuck together.
I read this book, immersed in the story not being able to put it down no matter the violent, twisted, craziness that bleed through the pages because it more than made up for it with the intense, scorching chemistry that enthralled me every step of the way. This is definitely a story that is UNPUTDOWNABLE and a MUST READ!!

Trigger warning in some scenes!
This is the second book in Elaine and Lucien's story and I cannot wait for the last one to come out and to see where their story ends.
The beginning starts off a little slow for me, it's still very hate filled between the two and their chemistry is off the charts. We immediately start from the end of the first book.
As the book went on it really picked up as Elaine and Lucien began to open up to one another and it was good for us to finally see what secrets each had and for them to revealed. I feel that was the real turning point of the novel and then I loved it from then on!
The book ended in a really good place and I'm so intrigued to see where Book 3 goes!
Check out this book when it comes out December 8th!

Gripped from the first to the last page, my mind was totally consumed by all things, Lucian and Elaine. The slow burn change in emotions was subtle but still damn right powerful on my emotions. Jade has weaved an intense dark story that is layered with care and big on all the feels. I’m totally hooked, pining for more of this angsty, passionate chemistry and the storms that lie in wait for these characters.
This boooook!! Lucian and Elaine. Damnit I love them and their hate, their lust, their unrelenting, unrepentant, unwanted attraction to one another.
They're the most twisted, brutal, set of soulmates I've ever read. They're a match made in hell, enemies from birth, and at first glance they're complete opposites. But the beauty in this authors writing makes their hatred for one another grow into something all-consuming.
It was such beautiful torture watching them slowly fall together. They go from being completely callous towards one another to being something more. I always love when bad boys finally get brought to their knees by love, and this book was made even sweeter because I was equally invested in the black sheep of the Constantine family, Elaine, finally finding her place in this world.
I can't freaking wait to see where this author takes us in the final book. And I'm even more excited to see how other authors in the Midnight Dynasty book world weave the bits from the story into their own.

The second book in this trilogy starts off slower, and felt a bit like a filler. For the first half of the book there is a lot of repeating and inner monologue on how Constantine and Morelli can’t be together that their family would “come after them”. But overall there wasn’t a lot of plot development.
At around 50% action picked up and we get to learn both Lucian and Elaine’s secrets. They both clearly love each other and don’t hide it. Glad to see Lucian seek revenge for those who abused her.
By the end of the book Elaine finally looses virginity.
“Elaine was a butterfly with wings of so many wonderful fucked-up colors they could blind a man if he looked too deep. I didn’t understand her. I shouldn’t want to. She shouldn’t transfix me like some kind of fucked-up fool.”
What’s keeping me going really is the anticipation of how it all unfolds with their families. Constantines and Morellis really hate each other, so how will they get their HEA?

Soulless, Book 2 in the Starcrossed Lovers Trilogy is and emotional and mental rollercoaster. It delves into the history and psyche of Lucian and Elaine as they fight against their fate and the inevitability of their attraction and love for each other. This book has some very dark moments. We finally get a full picture of the demons haunting Elaine and it is full of triggers and dark even for me. The darkness is balanced by snarky banter and character development. I loved these characters in Heartless, but they are now seared into my very soul. Jade West beautifully balances Dark and violent themes with affection growth and love. Waiting for book 3 is going to be so hard.
