I love a good little mystery, thriller, suspense read mixed with some romantic moments. This book for sure, had all of those. The journey of Bree and Ryker was well written without it being over the top and in your face. Sometimes I feel like that can happen with books in this genre. It’s pushed and too fast, then it takes away from the story. The author did an excellent job of incorporating more twists than I was expecting for sure! I wasn’t expecting to be so thoroughly engrossed either. I felt like the character were well developed and entertaining. Bree sure goes thorugh quite a lot from beginning to end and I loved it! This was the perfect read to pull me out of a book slump. I look forward to more!
