Parts of this romance I liked—but the ending was rushed and I didn’t appreciate Cord literally NEVER trusting/believing Tory. Down to the end! He only trusted Rafe cause of Julian’s secret. Despite everything Tory said being backed by evidence. Too misogynistic in the end.

Lately it's been rare that I find a book where I simply must know what happens next. After I started reading this book this morning, I could not get it off my mind and so around 3 pm, I decided to stop fighting it and I turned on Nancy again and began to read.

Cora and Victoria's story was really interesting and they met in interesting circumstances. I also liked that Claire, Victoria's younger sister, got her happy ending. Though this book is the first in the series, I accidentally read the last one first.

But I really enjoyed this book beside a slight misstep, but it didn't take from my overall enjoyment. I'm looking forward to reading more of Ms. Martin's works.
