I’ll rate this story a 4/5

❗️SPOILERS❗️

Let’s be honest the first chapter is just Tobias talking about how he’s a God. It felt disconnected from how he acts later. Sudden. One second he was treating her like terribly, then he’s like oh she took off her sweater and she’s hot.

It was pretty obvious what the conflict was from the beginning. When Tobias thought he figured it out and confronted his coach, that’s when I got confused. Since his coach lied to him. It was a good way to take this. Tobias being confused made me think that I guessed wrong. Though It was easy to follow along the story 4/5.

The way Tobias was with Bailey was so cute. There was never a moment where he thought less of Miller. Their relationship was lovely 4/5.

There were sex scenes, but this didn’t feel like a spicy book. More like your standard romance novel. 2.5/5.

This story felt unique and wholesome. The antagonist was easy to hate. He was a groomer, a predator, and a manipulator.

I felt deeply for miller and I admired her.

Story of Tobias and Meyer

What a ride. There were a few plot twists in this, it had me gasping from shock.

Loved it!

Tobias is a great book boyfriend, swoon.

Loved seeing Tobias and Meyer get their HEA.

I was really excited to read this book just from seeing a quote someone posted a while ago. When I started, I literally had to force myself to put it down. I really enjoyed Meyer and her storyline. I didn't like Tobias at first because of his cocky attitude and how he went about things, but in the end, I ended up really loving him. I had a feeling about who the villain of this story was pretty early on, but it wasn't in the way I expected, which I really liked.

I also really liked that I was able to relate to some of the emotions that Meyer was going through. One that hit really close to home was that she was doing everything for everyone and never wanted to ask anyone for help because she didn't want to be a burden. The whole conversation with her brother really had me in tears. I really liked the epilogue and how the very last page was from the newspaper hinting at the next athlete that they had their eye on, and it makes me really excited to read the next one!

HELP! only reason why this is not a five star is because I can’t really bring myself to rate a romance book 5 stars, but this book was a chefs kiss. It was so cute and it kept me engaged through or 300+ pages. This is definitely a book I would recommend and I’m def gonna make my friend read the book.

Oh, what a nice way to be back reading Meagan Brandy! As I haven't read much the last two years, it was about time I picked up one of her books again.

Even though it took me some time to get into the story, I ended up loving it.
With the turning point, where Tobias switched from being a completely self-centered athletic a-hole to become a swoon-worthy and charming hero, there was no way for me not falling for him.

Tobias and Meyer's love story is a total slow burn which almost kills you by angst and secrets. Both characters have great depth and I love their development.

So, why don't I give 5 stars if I loved this book so much? That's simple... the ending felt rushed to me. To some this might not be enough, but combined with some minor issues here and there that I did not mention in this review, I just ended up with a 4 star rating.
