An excellent book. One of their best! I loved Fizzy. I loved Connor. Their relationship was well paced. Believable. Mature. Heart wrenching. This /did/ feel like the exact story line from The Charm Offensive, but straight. So docking a star.

I couldn’t get past the text message dialogue and Fizzy addressing and referring to Connor as “Hot DILF”.

Unfortunately, the translation ruins so much of what I love about the writing style that Christina Lauren typically represent that I cannot keep reading this version. I will purchase the English version and feel supported in my approach that translations at times ruin a reading experience. The language and words used in German feel forced, outdated and unnatural at so many points. Funny wordplays are simply erased. My first annoyance was a very sloppy grammar error on page one.. It can happen. But the more I read, the more I disliked this book and by now am convinced that it's because of the translation. I LOVED every other Christina Lauren book I have read so far, and there were a fair few. Therefore, I'll give it another go and try in the original :)
