I just love Christina Lauren and this was such a fun read!
2/5 spicy peppers

I used to say I don’t like chick lit, but Christina Lauren makes it really hard to dislike their books.

At first I liked Fizzy’s feistiness and forthright attitude, but I thought she was much younger.  To learn she’s close to 40 made it ridiculous.  Too hard to believe a woman that age would just want to sleep around nonstop.

Christina Lauren have done it again. I’m not sure why it took me so long to read this book considering how much I enjoyed the other books I’ve read by them, but I ate this book up!

Fizzy (Felicity) Chen is a well-known romance author who’s hit a wall with her writing and can’t seem to find that HEA or even a story to start with. When Connor - sexy British DILF - finds out that the beautiful woman he noticed from across the bar is his ex-wife’s favourite romance author, he reaches out to ask her to be the lead of the new dating show he’s producing, The True Love Experiment. Fizzy and Connor decide to get to know one another prior to filming and begins developing an easy, intimate friendship. As filming starts, Fizzy can’t help but find herself torn between the men on screen and the one behind the camera. Will the audience vote for the man who’s captured Fizzy’s heart or will she set off to Fiji with the wrong man, possibly losing the right one forever.

This book was really cute! Fizzy is a romance author who realizes she's writing about something she's never experienced. Connor is a documentary filmmaker tasked with creating a reality show. The two decide to work together to produce a show with Fizzy as the bachelorette, except their chemistry is off the charts, and neither one is good at fighting it.

Fizzy is a fun main character —she's charming and bubbly, friendly to the max. Connor is a little more buttoned up, concerned about his next steps as a serious filmmaker. Their banter is so much fun, and I appreciated the real-life aspects of them balancing exes, jobs, etc. That said, it was just a little flat. I wanted more from the characters, some of the dialogue felt stilted and I was hoping for a bit more of an ending overall.
