Very fun light hearted romance story. Main character and love interest are very lovable and then ending is a “happily ever after “

It was cute, didn’t love the explicit/vulgar language from FMC, it was predictable

Yes. It’s just a “guilty pleasure” romance read, but this was delightful.

I absolutely adored this book. I didn’t think I would like it, for some reason, but absolutely fell in love with Fizzy and Connor - separately, because each of them is such an incredible person on their own.

Fizzy is everything I want to be - strong, charming, magnetic, dynamic…you name the positive quality, and she embodies it.

Connor is an incredibly patient, kind, thoughtful person, whose calm and steady presence could literally be felt throughout the story. Every person deserves a Connor in their life to support and love them wholeheartedly.

This book has absolutely cemented for me that I must read every book written by this duo, so if you see a lot more CLo books pop up on my TBR and currently reading, The True Love Experiment is why.

I absolutely fell in love with Fizzy and her friendship with Jess in The Soulmate Equation, and while I don't think it's easy to elevate an established secondary character to a main character, I was really happy she had her own book for me to look forward to. And for the most part, I think the authors did a very good job adding padding and depth to her where it was needed to really flesh her out. Fizzy is a truly delightful character, and she's very easy to root for.

I also really enjoyed her chemistry with Connor, and I thought they made really good sense as a couple. Their interactions were great, and I had zero complaints about that aspect... In theory.

In the execution, I did feel my excitement surrounding their developing relationship was hindered by the way this was structured. Without going into spoiler territory, The True Love Experiment almost felt like, plot-wise, the authors couldn't decide which of two options to pick, and so they half-assed both. We had the first third where we basically set up the couple by them trying to rediscover joy, and then the rest of it where we do a dating show. Their pacing felt off, which in turn took the anticipation right out of it for me, which then caused the book to start feeling overly long. And then the third act conflict didn't even really have to do with either of the plot runs, so eh? It felt clunky, and because of this I didn't fly through this like I expected to.

There were so many pockets of interactions I absolutely loved by themselves, but I just wish they were strung together a bit better. Definitely not a terrible romance, and I still mostly enjoyed myself, but it just wasn't as strong as I feel it could have been.

I really enjoyed this one but I don’t think there was enough going on outside the romance plot that keep me interested or emotionally invested??
