Too lustful. Which i should've know because she's a lusty character from the last book but it made it boring for me. I wanted to story to be over already
This might be my new favorite book. I absolutely adore the friendship and tension between Fizzy and Connor, but also the storyline about the reality show is amazing. I did not want this book to end!
i’m actually so sad that i had to give this 2 stars :/ bc i love christina laurens’ books so so much. i blame the fact i did the audiobook for this book

This was really really good, and was exactly what I needed to read. It was compulsively readable and I didn’t want to put it down, I just wanted to keep reading to find out what would happen with Fizzy and Connor.
What was really good about Fizzy and Connor was that neither of them were perfect. Connor fully acknowledged his faults and had worked on them because he didn’t like who he was and what he had done. Fizzy was able to recognise her impulsivity and her knowing her own faults but not being able to accept any one else’s. I also loved the ending and the culmination of their relationship, it hit so hard and was adorable to see them watch their relationship develop on screen and see what everyone else had been seeing.
Another part of this I liked with this book, was the familial relationships. Fizzy had such strong relationships with her family and even though she thought they were disappointed with her they were so proud of everything she had achieved. Fizzy’s relationship with Jess and Juno was great, following through from the first book, seeing how their dynamic changed as Juno grew up and Jess settled into her marriage. Connor having such a strong connection with his ex-wife and here new husband was really refreshing, seeing that she was able to forgive him for his actions and he still had his relationship with Stevie despite their separation.
I never like miscommunication in romances because I just wish people could talk to each other, and it was especially difficult to read in this one, because Connor could have just told her about the pressure he was under and that they needed ti press pause because it wasn’t just about him, he had his daughter to think about and he couldn’t afford to get fired.

Slow beginning, hard to get the feel of these characters from the get go but as the story developed I started to care about the characters. I love how confident the female main character is- I love a story where the woman knows what she wants. I did however find myself focusing in and out. I am not as captivated as I was with The Paradise Problem. The conflict was annoying because I felt it was out of character for the FMC but that’s just me being nitpicky. The ending was cute!
4.5*
Loved this. Read it concurrently with Yellowface and there were many surprising connections between the two books, with this book coming out on top!! :)
