Can't really rate a book with this many short stories. I loved some, I didn't like some. Maybe one day I'll figure out a rating for this huge collection.

This edition includes a lot of old favorites, with much of the dark flavor for which we all love the Grimm brothers.

This is, I've decided, the only way to enjoy Grimm's fairy tales! This collection of fantastic narrators breathes new life into old stories. While the Grimms apparently had no qualms recycling their own content and a penchant for using the numbers 3, 7, and 12, they surely didn't pull any punches with plot twists and gruesome deaths! I liked the opportunity to sample some excellent narrators and to finally hear the REAL story of all these Disney princesses.

1. Definitely a darker version of Cinderella than the Disney one.
2. The Grimm brothers must have had just the worst stepmother.
3. The cast for the audiobook is superb. It was great listening to Jim Dale again.

3.5

A lovely read taking me back to childhood.
