This book may be 10 years old, but it is one all Americans should read right now. So many Americans are worried about the influx of immigrants to the US and there has been an upsurge in nationalism, a desire to keep up defense spending, but a dislike of providing international aid. This book clearly explains how those three things are intertwined, and why it is in everyone's best interest to provide aid and what kind of aid truly works (though Sach's does lay out clear guidelines for countries that should get aid, he's not just suggesting every corrupt country should get billions).
