I'm probably just new to comics in general. This is the first DC thing I've bothered to grab off the shelf and read cover-to-back matter. That being said, I didn't feel...better for having read it or anything.
I know from prior indirect exposure that comics generally do a "and then everything wound up exactly where it started" sort of ending to preserve the status quo, but it kind of feels...devoid of progress at the end. Was it a victory? No. Was it inevitable? Kinda. It sort of cheapens all the work that was done.
But you know, personal perspectives aren't objective truth and all that. It was a fun adventure, with interesting developments. But I don't hold any of these concepts holy enough that disrupting them was interesting to me, and the intervening power at the end was lacklustre.
