I’m going to have to buy my own copy of this book. There’s a lot of useful and relatable things in here, and easy to read for someone with a short attention span

I was late diagnosed at 30 with ADHD after years of speculation in my adult life, and fear I was correct and wouldn’t be taken seriously, or fear that I was simply just lazy. I saw a lot of myself in this book, and the case studies. I think that the last chapter was too information dense to end on given the nature of the book, but otherwise found it engaging - I even appreciate the humor of “did you struggle to reach here” for the 100th question.

This book is about ADD and written by authors with ADD.
I wonder if I have ADD. Or maybe I have artificial DID. I would much prefer that.
Most Americans have pseudo ADD. The difference between it and real ADD is the duration and intensity of symptoms. OK maybe I don't have ADD.
One of the narrators sounded like Obama.

This was a great book and very informative. There were a ton of actual cases he talked about and I appreciated getting the real world examples of adhd. This was definitely geared more towards adults with the disorder than children though. However, it does apply to both. He gives practical tips and assurances. For kids specifically I liked the other adhd book I read better, but for adults I prefer this one. I think I might have Derek listen to his other book "driven to distraction at work" cuz he gave great tips on dealing with adhd in the book I read so if he delves deeper on this in this other book then I think it'll be really helpful.

Yet again so many issues and behavioral patterns I can easily relate to. The book appears to be a bit outdated when it comes to the state of research but the case histories are very relatable.

I read this book at the request of my husband who was diagnosed with ADD in his late teen years. He said that he read this book back then, but I find that hard to believe since I barely got through it myself.

Basic introduction to ADD. It really shows how little we knew about the brain.
