The plot kept me hooked but it was very predictable. Not my fave TJR tho. Jesse lowkey pissed me off when he came back tbh bc I was so team Sam at that point. I also find it kind of hard to believe that Emma could make this decision in 3 days.
Okay so like yeah, amazing plot, TJR is a master at writing heartbreak. However, I will say it felt completely predictable, and I genuinely felt like it finished in the middle of a sentence. On my e-reader I didn’t even realize I had finished the book until the Acknowledgments were the next page. Maybe it’s because my first and only TJR book I’ve read and adored has been Seven Husbands, but there was something dropped in character development in this book. With 7H, I felt like I was truly ~in~ the story and knew the characters front to back. This book fell flat in that regard, which was disappointing. Emma was also borderline unlikeable. Only finished the book to the end because I adore Sam and wanted to see his finished story.

This book tore me apart and put me back together again. It was beautiful and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone.
