Why I gave this book three stars:

1. The word "frigid" is used so freaking much.
2. Why must Kiler put the man in man-whore?!?!? Can't he simply be a gorgeous guy?!?
3. For two people that have been best friends all their lives, they misunderstood each other so many times that I lost count.
4. I'm so bored of these kind of relationships in NA world. The girl hasn't been with many guys and the guy has been with tons of girls but in the end they live happily ever after because they push apart their differences.

5. But to end it on a happy note there was a lot of (sexual) tension.

I'd give more of a 3.75 star rating. I really enjoyed this story! Perfect for Christmas time. I think I'm addicted to Armentrout's writing because it's come to the point where I will read anything she writes. What I liked was that the two main characters have known each other their whole lives, so to me it didn't quite feel like inst-love. When Sydney used the phrase "running like a turd" I was dying of laughter. The whole Zachary story line was pretty predictable but it was needed to give some sort of conflict. Anyone looking for a cute, sexy Christmas read stood pick this up!

There isn't much I could say beside that it was perfect. I loved Syd and Kyler and I could relate to Syd on a lot of things. It pointed out a lot of differences that I haven't thought before. Though as it turned out years ago that I hate angst, I still read it. But I loved this book. I needed the smut right now. And I love Jen's writing style.

A story of two friends that are secretly in love with each other.

You’re weird."
"I know."
I lifted my head so my chin rested on his chest. "But you love me?"
His lips tipped up at the corners. "I love you as much as a kid loves Santa."
I laughed. "That’s serious."
"Hardcore," he murmured."

"How you’ve always felt?”
"I’ve loved you my entire life," he said, eyes locked on mine. "And I would love you for the rest of my life if you’d let me, Syd."

Sydney has been in love with her best friend Kyler for as long as she can remember. So why isn't she trying to pursue a relationship with him? Well, Kyler is a man-whore to say the least. He never gives a girl more than a day before he drops her and is on to the next one. But Kyler has his own reasons for not telling Sydney his feelings. When he had absolutely nothing, Sydney was the only one that never looked at him differently. So he puts her on a high pedestal and tells himself that she's too good for him. But, when Sydney and Kyler are snowed in, there's no stopping their feelings from coming to the surface.

"Sometimes words weren’t enough— they couldn’t cover the feeling. This was one of those times. So I closed the distance and kissed her, putting everything I felt for her, every promise I made her, into that one kiss."

In this book Kyler and Sydney are pretty much the only characters considering their snowed in. Sydney is just a girl in love with her best friend. And let me say that I loved Sydney. She was a complete book nerd and awkward as well. She truly isn't perfect, contrary to what Kyler believes, and just wants him to realize her feelings she has. Kyler is our typical player that messes around with girls for all the wrong reasons when he has a perfect one waiting for him.

All in all this is a cute story to pass the time. Apparently, there is going to be a part two sooooo, yeah. But as of now this is a stand alone and has a pretty decent ending. 4.5/5 stars.

2.5 stars

Why does this have an average of only a 3.84?! It was amazing and true to Jennifer's J.Lynn writing style. Love, love, LOVED it!!

Something between 3.5 and 4 stars!

First of all, I was SO excited to read this book and when I finally could I immediately grabbed it and went straight to bed to start reading it! I read it in one day by the way - I didn't even want to put it down!

Gosh, Jennifer L. Armentrout/J. Lynn never disappoints me! I'm loving the Lux series and Wait for You was equally amazing, so I figured "Frigid" would be another awesome book!

The Story is about Sydney and Kyler - best friends since they can remember but secretly in love with each other. *sigh*

I was hooked from the very first page! Sydney was a likeable character - sometimes a little ... i don't want to say whiny but she thought a lot about every tiny little bit - I think I liked her so much because sometimes I'm like her ... constantly worried about what others think. That made her vivid and real.

Kyler was AMAZING. I understand why Sydney fell in love with him! He's a player, yes. He likes to "play" with lots of girls, yes. But when it comes to Sydney he was always different ... that's just UGH! I loved his cocky side but also - especially to the end - when he was being vulnerable and insecure. Gosh, i wouldn't mind to have someone like Kyler in my life, definitely not! :D

SpoilerI need to say that I didn't really like the story about Zach and why he did what he did ... that was idk. It came out of no where, i think? It was over a year ago that Kyler had something with Sasha but Zach is still not over it? Why didn't he do something earlier? And WHY did he shoot at them (well, the window, but still.) or cut the wires - what in hell would it help him if Kyler doesn't have electricity?!? whatever ...

I'm glad JLA/JLynn took her time with everything ... nothing seemed too rushed or unbelievable. Actually I sat there and was thinking: OH MY GOD! FINALLY DO IT, UGH! OH JUST SAY IT!

The ending was beyond perfection! I couldn't have imagined something more beautiful!
SpoilerHim, throwing little rocks at her window and climbing up ... apologizing for everything he did and then he confesses his love for her *sigh* - That was unbelievable cute and made me really happy.

"I will never regret being with you, Syd. Never. And I wish I could go back and relive those hours. I wish I could go back in time, and instead of hooking up with some chick, I’d man up and tell you how I really felt for you, how I’ve always felt for you."

I really enjoyed and loved it a lot! It's charming, funny and extremely sweet with some really, really hot moments! Definitely worth a read! ;)

If you're looking for a Christmas read, fitting exactly the mold of a sweet to the point of diabetes best friends to lovers romance, full of the same old cliches, this book is for you.

Overall I was looking for such escape and enjoyed the book, however the story is almost nonexistent, way too predictable, almost exactly the same as Jennifer's previous contemporary romance novels and contains the most cringeworthy, way too long, chunk of unnecessary smut.
I was snorting and even laughing out loud from the ridiculousness of some of the descriptions, even for people who do enjoy their spice I really don't get how would someone like this??

All in all, it's a nice story and exactly what I was expecting from it, though as said above is extremely mediocre, hence the three stars.
